Another update on the medical mystery: Dr called this morning and after yesterday's discussion, she decides she wants to check for meningitis with a lumbar puncture. Hmmm..."Is that another name for a spinal tap?" Yes, it is, so the nurse proceeds to tell me that there is a dr there that can do them. Now, keep in mind, I do love sarcasm. I calmly said, "Good luck with that," and proceeded to tell her there was no way that was going to work since my whole back is fused. S ... he then proceeds to argue the fact that I cannot have a fused back. I was starting to do a little head bobbing by this point and informed her that I am fused from the top of my back to my buttcrack and she will NOT mess up my quarter of a million dollar back! I called my back dr and they so don't even think bout it...it'd be too painful for everyone cuz they'd have to go through bone, to which I replied, "Oh he** no!" When the nurse called back, she had a whole different tone due to the fact that she spoke with the one who would do the procedure and he told her that he wouldn't even try. HA!
