Interesting. Are we born with compassion for animals or is it taught?

I remember from being young as fuck, I never wanted to eat any animals and I felt sick when I did. Me parents forced is to eat tuna though, haha. not ordinary but simple items for wedding at beach

I think I've lost some of that compassion as I've got older.
